What we do at LVCC
LVCC offers full-day, half-day, part-time, and school-age programs, servicing children between the ages of 6 weeks – 6 years of age. Hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
LVCC uses a modified version of the Creative Curriculum for Preschool Learning, exposing children to a multicultural and multi-lingual learning environment as well intimate focus on the three R’s (Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic).
Program Objective:
Infant/ Program (6 weeks-23 months old)
The Red Grape Vine classroom is designed for Infants. Our program focuses on nurturing babies with love and care. We’ll also help infants strengthen their eye-to-hand coordination and help teach them to walk and explore the things around them. Our program will offer a safe and comfortable environment that gives parents the assurance that their child is well taken care of. Our program focuses on skill development and the discovery of surroundings. Children learn to explore the world around them. Activities include games and development that will help meet the developmental needs of each child.
Toddler Program (2 to 3 years old)
The Yellow Vine classroom is designed for our toddlers. Our toddler program is founded on love and care. We want to make sure that are children are in a safe, age-appropriate environment. At this age two and three year old children have learned how to walk well, they are more physically enabled, and are beginning to communicate using single words. Children will master their shapes, numbers, colors, and more. They will learn how to share and cooperate with peers. Each child will learn how to express their feeling by learning different emotions. One of our main goals in this program is to successfully toilet-train each child.
Preschool Program (4 to 6 years old)
The Blue Vine classroom is designed for our preschool program. The staff channels the child’s growing desire for independence. Children desire autonomy in activities, socializing, and toilet training; yet are often indecisive.
Activities are geared toward the exploration of an expanding world, increased communication, and problem-solving. Themes revolve around a curriculum based on the children’s play. Daily activities are planned to improve muscular development and coordination. Activities are held inside the classroom as well as outdoors.
